UK firms without mobile sites are losing £’ss

Creating mobile-optimised websites could increase sales by 12 per cent.

British businesses without mobile-optimised websites and poor offerings are losing around £5 million in profits each year, as a growing number of consumers look to shop via smartphones and tablets.

Mobile website use has doubled each year since 2009 and middle-sized companies that create a mobile strategy can look to increase sales by 12 per cent.

Additionally, mobile web use is set to overtake desktop internet use in 2014, which is a further wake up call to technophobic firms.
